Through the Lens 101

I have this camera, see, but i haven't a clue how to use it to take awesome pictures. I have looked every where online for tips on understanding my camera in English . I haven't found one that I understand. But have no fear!!! Hallie at Confessions from the Rubber Room has saved me from my digital woes!

This week's assignment was to read the manual for my camera. Well that's a little tough to do since I can't find it. But I did go online and find the manual on the manufacturers web site. I read it. But I did not understand any of it. I hope I'm not the only one. The other assignment was to take pictures and post the best one after learning a few things from the manual.

I did the best I could considering I didn't understand any of it. So here it is!

Oh, I think it turned out great. Even if you didn't understand the manual, which I didn't understand mine either, it still turned out great. :)

I really like this picture. It has a Victorian feel to it. I like how the background sort of faded ro a blurr. How did you do that? Very good job.

Well I don't know if the manual had anything to do with it, but that rose is gorgeous! I love the color in this shot! Great job.

Very impressive! Your camera must be a genious! (Though it helps to have a good subject - the color of the rose is beautiful.)

I love the softness of the light. Did you use a flash? With the low lighting, it seems you would've had to, but this picture doesn't show the harshness of a flash. Great work, however you managed it! We should post our photos' "EXIF data" so we can see how the shots were achieved. I think that would be a great way to learn from one another.
