Yes my loyal readers, I was doing the happy dance! It was a sight to see.
Truly it was.
The moment my feet set foot on the front porch after dropping off Little Monkey at school. I let out a Woo Hoo!, and did a little dance. I'm sure my neighbors thought I was nuts!
After what seemed like a million years, there is no fighting, no screaming, no "give it back", or "don't eat my lunch". There is peace in this house that I haven't seen in years days. Something I'd thought I'd never get to experience again. There is just baby giggles, hugs and kisses, and quiet!
Now don't get me wrong, I do love my children and we had an awesome summer together. But there is only so much fighting I can take.
Summer was great for the first few weeks. They got along well and were so helpful. But then I'm not sure what happened . They'd had enough of together time.
There were a lot of changes this year. Little Monkey is going to school all day instead of just a half day. Baby Girl started Middle School and has become a "woman" (say a prayer for me).
Little Monkey did well today. He didn't eat much which is normal for him nor did he sleep at nap time but there was no crying. His teachers were truly proud of him. And so am I . He's a trooper that one.
The minute I picked him up he informed me that when he got home he was going to take a nap and drink his Pediasure. I was flabbergasted. My child actually admitted that he was tired! I checked for a fever. Seriously, I did!
Baby Girl learned how to open her locker today. She got it on the 6th try she said. And when I asked her what she had for lunch she told me a Slushie. I'm hoping that wasn't all she had .
This morning the bus came 15 minutes earlier than it was supposed to so I had to take her to school. Even thought she adamantly proclaimed that no one was going to take her to school on the first day.
All in all, it was a good first day for all of us. Tiger and I enjoyed our time together, I got a lot accomplished today and was actually able to write a post! WOO HOO!
And despite the fact that I was glad this day finally came . . . I missed them both terribly. I'm so glad they are home and I can hug and kiss on them. Of course they will be pushing me away but hey at least they know they are loved dearly.
