My miracle baby.
The one who struggled for life 5 years ago.
That was fed by a feeding tube for almost 2 years.
That sweet little inquisitive boy started Kindergarten!
Because of his Autism, I thought for sure his first day would be a struggle for him.
He surprised me by being brave and sitting in his seat.
His teachers say he didn't talk much (little do they know) but he was happy.
He talked to me after school all bout what he had for lunch, that he colored not one picture but two!!!
And how he got to play on the playground.
I love that he 's so excited about school this year.
Last year was a struggle.
He's been in the public school system since the age of three but last year was a doozie.
It's looking like this is the year he will shine.
Concepts grasped, coping with others will be easier, and wanting to be at school a priority.
At least that's what I'm praying for.

My son hasnt started yet. His first day of 1st grade will be on the 7th.

Wishing your boy a wonderful year, from the first to the last! He is adorable with his backpack, and sitting at the table. We home school, and even casually through the summer. But we start a new year next week.
I'm glad your son had such a great first day of school! My 14 year old son didn't have a great first day of high school, but my 11 year old daughter had a great first day of 7th grade, and my 3 year old had a great first day of preschool.

Your son is too cute. I am glad that he had a good first day of school. My son is two and he goes to preschool and it feels like everyday is the first day I sometimes wonder about him its like he rediscovers the people he sees everyday as if he is meeting them for the first time.
